Hello Perl Mongers and TriLUGgers,

Trevor Little will be giving a talk this Thursday evening at McClatchy
Interactive on

OpenLaszlo frontend, perl CGI::Application backend.

Trevor has used Open Laszlo to create a flash frontend for his home
budget application. This frontend talks to perl scripts on the backend
for database access and manipulation.

>From openlaszlo.org: "OpenLaszlo programs are written in XML and
JavaScript and transparently compiled to Flash". OpenLaszlo calls
itself "the premier open-source platform for rich internet
applications".

Trevor has been a Support Developer at McClatchy Interactive for the past year.

Directions are available from our website at http://raleigh.pm.org/

Email me an RSVP if you know you'll be coming; however, it is not at
all required.
