[TriLUG] Distro suggestions

I want to thank the LUG for the multitude of responses on this topic.
   I used the past several weeks playing with Plan9, nothing being
worked on there, no kind of GUI possible, a bare flakey irc, I gave
up.
   Installed dsl-not on my K6/350 laptop this weekend, the WiFi
configure works great but there is a lack of other software in depth,
so.........
   Now installing Ubuntu 6.10 Server so that I can then work on Linux
>From Scratch.
By golly, gona' make my own damn distro!
