[TriLUG] IDE Recommendations?

Apart from the fact that EMACS stands for Extended-Meta-Alt-Ctrl-Shift,
nothing.

Don't take me wrong, emacs is perfect for programming with scripting
languages and even some bigger systems in C, C++ (or even some Java, for
those willing), but I still go for Eclipse... but hey, that's just me.

BTW, I got in town less than a month ago, some big blue boss I have says I
am bound to stay here for one year. I found the Trilug on the net and
subscribed the list. I saw the upcoming Install Fest on Jan 20, any news on
that?
