    UI Engineer -- Full time

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The successful candidate will work with both the product marketing and 
core services team to develop commerce and partner applications.  
Candidates must have strong JSP development skills with a focus on Web 
UI development.  They must be able to translate marketing layouts into 
functional applications on top of backend services.

 

Responsibilities

    * Provide technical expertise in designing and implementing advanced
      reusable UI components and full fledged consumer facing applications.
    * Support and enhance application once launched
    * Assist Product Marketing and Management with gathering
      requirements and writing requirements and functional specifications
    * Write design specifications
    * Assist QA with writing test plans

 

Required Skills

    * Must be experienced with HTML, CSS, XML, and Javascript
    * 5+ years development experience in product interfaces
    * Must be experienced with server-side scripting languages (i.e.
      ASP, Perl, PHP), JSP as part of a team for a large web application.
    * Solid understanding of cross browser compatibility issues and how
      to develop cross browser applications.
    * Must be able to work through complicated problems, produce a
      detailed solution and schedule, and coordinate execution on that
      solution within the schedule.
    * Professional-level graphic design skills using Adobe PhotoShop.
    * Must be an excellent communicator.
    * Ability to technically document software deliverables through
      design documents and technical specifications.
    * Minimum of a BS degree in technology related field (equivalent
      experience will be considered).
    * Solid understanding of software development cycles, change
      management and testing techniques.



    Software Engineer -- Contract (6 mo.)

The successful candidate will identify business requirements and develop 
systems requirements to implement our ASP solution on a variety of 
ecommerce platform environments. You will be responsible for developing 
requirement specifications, assist in creating architecture diagrams, 
communicating the approach and other application/network designs to 
project members and clients.

 

You will be expected to provide excellent customer service and may be 
expected to travel frequently. You will document technical solutions and 
participate in developing standards for future client implementations. 
You will also participate in the analysis of business needs and provide 
accurate estimates for technical deliverables. By its nature, the work 
involves priority changes and interruptions, and thus requires maximum 
flexibility.

 

Responsibilities

·        Work with client personnel and other team members to define 
system integration requirements and network configuration logistics.

·        Assist with definition, refinement, and integrity of the 
technical and integration architectures

·        Provide formal documentation of proposed integration solution 
specifications and logistics.

·        Configure our ASP service for a variety of customer 
environments based on proposed integration design (technical and 
functional requirements metrics)

 

Required Skills

·        Strong problem solving skills.

·        Proficient with XML and XSL.

·        Ability to work in multiple environments such as JSP, CGI, C#, 
ASP.NET and others.

·        Internet/Intranet savvy and expertise in developing web-based 
integrations.

·        Experience with UNIX shell scripting or other scripting language.

·        Solid understanding of software development cycles, change 
management and testing techniques.

·        Ability to technically document software deliverables through 
design documents and technical specifications.

·        Minimum of a BS degree in technology related field (equivalent 
experience will be considered).
