I've worked with both also and have to agree Director is far superior
(and available on something like 13 different operating systems),
especially for clusters. Some people may compare Director working naked
with Insight working with an Insight service processor (about $800
add-on product) and come to a different conclusion. In which case they
want to see Director working with an IBM service processor (about a $200
add-on product for those servers that don't already some with one
embedded).

HP inherited Insight from Compaq. It's not an HP technology.

And don't even think about Dell OpenManage.
