[TriLUG] Best Distro for Latest/Greatest Kernel

I was faced with the same problem myself recently, and I solved it by
compiling my own 2.6.20 kernel based off of the config from the Debian
2.6.18 kernel I was previously running. Surprise surprise, things
changed between 2.6.18 and 2.6.20, and I was not terribly pleased with
the kernel I built. I started to go down much the same path that you
are going down now, until I found this post:
http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?t=12430 which pointed me to a
Debian kernel repository with an experimental 2.6.20
(http://kernel-archive.buildserver.net/debian-kernel/). I tried that
out and was much happier with it than the one I built for myself.
Now, you might not be running Debian, so perhaps you could find a
similar repository for your distro of choice.
