Also consider getting in the door. Maybe customer support or test and then
ask for a transfer after a year... depending on what you really want to do.
Testing can be fun itself. Especially load testing.

I remember a story from a German couple who escaped from Germany. The fellow
told us he worked as a janitor at Kodak until one day the chemical engineers
were working on a formula and he happened to know the answer for them. Of
course that's a bygone era.
