These articles always make me wonder why people are rebooting so often?
For desktops, UPSes are cheap nowadays, and power is pretty reliable 
(and cheap) most places.  And suspend/hibernate options for laptops 
generally work pretty well in Linux (with notable exceptions of course). 
  Why are people rebooting so much that any of this is worth spending 
time on?
