They give us ECE students at NCSU free access to a lot of software,
including Vista and oh man does that thing suck.  I was just curious to
see what Microsoft was up to.  Everything you do it likes to ask you,
"are you sure you want to do that?"  ("are you sure that you are sure
that you want to do that?")  And we haven't even talked about resource
hog yet.  I think after just booting it was using some 700 - 800 MB of
my RAM!  And slooooooow.  Everything is slow, even userspace programs (I
suppose because they make OS calls).  I don't think it is a good
competitor to Linux at all, except that Microsoft seems to have such a
grip on the market...
