[TriLUG] How would you diagnose "random" system hangs?

Thanks, all, for your good suggestions. I decided to downgrade the kernel
to 2.6.18; so far, so good, and the machine has now been up longer than
the past three attempts using 2.6.20.7. The next problem will be
*diagnosing* the source of the .20.7 failure if the kernel downgrade fixes
the problem.
