[TriLUG] Bash script question: newbie alert

i've created a shell script that installs all of my favorite applications,
plug-ins, multimedia tools, etc. for fresh ubuntu 7.04 installs.

the script runs, but here's the question:

how can i get it to run in the foreground, where i can see it working?

as soon as i run it [sudo ./scriptname.sh], it goes back to a prompt. the
only
clue i have that it is running is by testing that everything was installed
correctly. happily, it was all installed. but i would like to add something
to the script to make it run in an open terminal, if possible.

thanks for any help.

carl
