I made that change, but I don't think that's my problem.  It seems to be
to be a problem in baselayout or wpa_supplicant because the init script
doesn't seem to be finishing.

I had already done the things listed in that howto, so I don't think
that's the problem.  I've been playing around on bugs.gentoo.org, and I've
found a lot of similar bugs but not any that seem to be exactly what I am
looking at here.

Again, the init script associates with my access point just fine, but
doesn't use dhcpcd to get an IP address, and then doesn't set net.eth1 as
being started, causing other init scripts not to be able to start.  Any
more ideas?  I might just file a bug on this one and see if the devs can
help me or not...
