I use disk based backups. It's a part of a strategy but should not be 
where your backups stop. You need to have a disaster recovery plan that 
covers how you recover your stuff, site, company, database or simple word 
file if your company has been through a major disaster.

So D2D2T is the key, and a plan, that includes recovery strategy, recovery 
location etc. If you cover the 5 W's +1H you should be well on your way.
