[TriLUG] SSH: X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication

I'm getting the above message when I use ssh -X root at localhost. The weird
thing is, forwarding is actually working fine! I'm not requesting any
additional windows; I just get the message continuously in the window. If
I use -v I get the following:

debug1: channel 1: free: x11, nchannels 2
debug1: client_input_channel_open: ctype x11 rchan 3 win 65536 max 16384
debug1: client_request_x11: request from 127.0.0.1 33749
debug1: channel 1: new [x11]
debug1: confirm x11
X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication.

BUT.... if I actually want an additional window:

che:~# xcalc
debug1: client_input_channel_open: ctype x11 rchan 3 win 65536 max 16384
debug1: client_request_x11: request from 127.0.0.1 33757
debug1: channel 1: new [x11]
debug1: confirm x11

and the xcalc opens fine. Any thoughts?

Thanks.
