[TriLUG] OT: TIME WARNER ANNOUNCES INTRODUCTION OF PACKET SHAPING TECHNOLOGY NATIONWIDE

On Long Island, Verizon happily sold me FiOS by itself. It was amazing
service (20 down, 5 up, full speed 24/7) for 10 months, but about 6
weeks ago, they started blocking a lot of inbound ports. Definitely 25,
80, 143, 443, and a number of others.

I'm back in Raleigh now. Even though TWC is making decisions we don't
like, it doesn't seem that anyone can suggest a compelling alternative.
Or am I wrong? I'm likely to order RR within the week, unless there is
a better option...?
