1) Disallow patents on software, mathematical algorithms, DNA, etc. We
need some major reform of the law on almost all matters of intellectual
property rights, especially with regards to patent and copyright
protections.
2) Repeal 14th amendment protections for corporate entities. Treating a
faceless corporate entity as a natural citizen is, of course, unnatural!
3) Increase transparency in the money trail at all levels of government,
especially with regards to sources of income and gifts given to our
elected officials.
4) Pass the "Read The Bills Act" -
http://www.downsizedc.org/read_the_laws.shtml - which would eliminate
broad-scoped 700+ page bills from passing through Congress without ever
being read.
5) Pass the "Write The Laws Act" -
http://www.downsizedc.org/write_the_laws.shtml - which would prevent
Congress from delegating authority to executive branch appointed (not
elected) bureaucrats that belongs in the hands of elected officials.
