I prefer KDE over Gnome (please don't flame me Gnomies) I've used both 
and KUbuntu is kinda like Ubuntu... it just works. Other than KDE being 
the default Desktop and wallpaper being blue instead of brown I haven't 
seen a whole lotta difference.
