A word to the wise: the Mac version requires an Intel Mac. Looks like
I'll be installing my Kevin-invite copy on a Wintel machine and not my
G4-equipped Mac Mini.

Thanks to Kevin for alerting us to this product - it does look quite cool!

There is a Mac version, but this competes directly with Apple TV so I'm sure Apple is not to keen on it. In fact, this makes a very compelling argument for purchasing a Mac Mini for a few hundred dollars more than an Apple TV, and simply doing away with cable TV altogether. The Mac Mini already has a remote and a slick UI that works very well with a HDTV; and now with Joost, it would be reasonable to never watch cable TV again.
