In the past, when people have signed up the TriLUG list for outside archivers
like this, the Steering Committee has politely e-mailed the archivers and
requested we be removed. This is because of the following line in our
Articles of Incorporation:

"Any membership information gathered, including but not limited to name,
contact information, and any optional demographic information, will be
treated as confidential information."

If the mailing list is archived outside of TriLUG servers, where if
you'll notice,
we do obscure the e-mail address in our archives, then that has in the past
been deemed a breach of confidentiality of our members' contact information.

So, that's what the situation has been in the past. The situation in the future
is whatever we want to make of it, but just keep in mind that we need to
either conform to the AoI or if we prefer, change it.

Cheers,
Tanner
