The FIRST thing I would do is an "apt-get dist-upgrade" to
make sure that there isn't some new dependency.  That is,
sometimes a package will split off part of its functionality
into a new package.  Apt-get upgrade will not install any
new packages, where a dist-upgrade will resolve all new
dependencies and install them.
