at least 2 disks for each file. A file on only one disk has 
not been saved. To save beating up the disks, save 
increments rather than writing the whole 1TB. Power off the 
disks between updates, and store them in separate locations. 
Every now and again, make sure you can restore from them 
(start with a blank target machine, restore everything and 
make sure it works).
