Dear Mr. Palmer,

Thank you for getting back to me so promptly.  I will certainly be
happy to attend the meeting you have coming up, but in the mean time I
will also include the job description so that you can forward them to
any interested members.  There are several positions that we have
available.  We have direct contact with the hiring managers, and the
openings are for developers as well as testers for this custom Linux
platform.  They are long term contracts that do not have a specified
end date.

Platform Design Verification Software Test Engineer
Work with a small development team to test cutting edge client
platform software.  Automated testing will be constructed and used
wherever possible.  Using a combination of high level functional
design specifications, and agile development techniques, this
individual will create Feature/System Level Test Plans, identify
hardware and test equipment requirements, and perform testing to
achieve project milestones.  Testing will involve integration of
multiple devices into a customer like environment.  Products under
test may include Linux, and proprietary operating systems running in a
virtual machine environment.  The virtual machine environment will be
hosted on custom servers, Advanced Telecommunications Computer
Architecture (ATCA) equipment, or Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS)
servers or blades.
 ·Assume responsibility for software release verification, including
responsibility for test scheduling, work assignments, and reporting
back to management.
 ·Perform reviews of technical documentation, including design
specifications, test plans and customer documentation, and provide
feedback to the author through review meetings and written feedback.
 ·Perform testing of installation, upgrade, and back out of platform
software on custom, ATCA, and COTS servers.
 ·Perform testing of system configuration of custom, ATCA, and COTS
servers, switches, console devices, and SAN/NAS devices.
 ·Perform testing on networks using high availability solutions such
as Ethernet port bonding and heartbeats over serial and Ethernet, test
database administration and replications, and system maintenance
related features in accordance with technical specifications.  Tester
will need a good understanding of layer 1 and layer 2 of the OSI model
and experience with MAC Addresses, ARP, RARP, SNMP V2 and V3.
 ·Perform testing on software and hardware RAID configurations, system
diagnostics, and disaster recovery of Linux systems and SAN/NAS
devices.
 Work with development and product management to complete a software
release cycle by prioritizing mandatory Problem Reports (PRs) based on
severity and need, creating and executing a schedule to complete PR
closeout, and participating in a post mortem to identify needed
improvements in the testing process.
 Write automated test cases for performing testing of APIs and
regression test using Perl, Expect, BASH, and TCL.
a minimum of 4+ years of testing or related experience is required.
 Experience testing on a Linux platform is required
 Experience with virtual machine technology is required
 The ability to work with personal computers / servers including word
processors, spreadsheets, and databases is required.
 Experience writing automated test cases using BASH / TCL is highly desired.
 Strong leadership ability, effective oral/written communication
skills and ability to work effectively with team members required.


Product Verification Test Engineer
Work with test team to evaluate new releases of telephony products
,including Eagle STP, to determine testing requirements. Working from
the engineering functional design specifications, create test plans
for new features. perform testing on protocol, database
administration, and maintenance related features in accordance with
documented tet plans, including recording and publishing test results.
perform system level testing of telephony related products, including
SS7 an dUnix based platforms. This testing involves integrating
multiple devices into a customer like environment. Perform reviews of
technical documentation, including design specs, test plans and
customer documentation, and provide feedback to the author through
review meetings and written feedback.
3-5 years experience.  Should have Unix/Linux, MS Windows, IP and or
Telecom experience. Must posses excellent verbal and written
communication skills. SS7 experience is a big plus.

Software Engineer (there are senior and mid level positions available)
Responsibilities include development of Linux platform products .
Employee will architect and develop platform hardware and software
solutions supporting clients next generation telephony applications.
Other duties may be assigned.
 In satisfying the requirements for this position the employee will:
 ·Modify clients Linux Distribution to support new COTS hardware components.
 ·Participate with Platform Architecture team to drive the platform
roadmap for future releases.
 Select and qualify hardware for inclusion into telephony application platform
A minimum of 15 years of proven system/software development
experience, with a minimum of 7 years in the direct development of
telecommunications or similar systems utilizing Linux, and IP
networking is required.  Candidate must be an expert in Bash
programming, Perl programming, and the C programming language. OOD and
C++ experience is desired. RHCE is desired.  CCNA is desired.
Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
 Architecting telecommunications or similar systems using COTS rack
mounted servers, storage devices, and networking components.
 ·Operation of an RPM based Linux distribution (RHCE preferred) including:
 OS Loading using AnacondaServer boot using GRUBPackage management using RPM
 Disk layout strategies and disk drive technologies
 RAID options for the file system
 Configuration of hardware such as serial ports, Ethernet ports, USB
ports, modems, etc.
 ·Extensive experience in packaging software using RPM
 Creation of RPMsRPM dependency management in a customized Linux Distribution
 Software modification and repair of customized RPM patches
 Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture or similar blade
based architecture.
 Basic IP networking concepts.  CCNA certified or equivalent
