[TriLUG] fighting with Perl on Windoze

Cygwin rocks! It's one of the most amazing collection of apps I have ever used on a Windows box. It's all the gnu tools you have come to love and trust.. and they run on WINDOWS! Dude, it almost makes windows livable.
I haven't used cygwin in six years... but that's when I made the final leap to Linux as my full-time workstation. I just got tired of pretending I was on a Linux box (using the Cygwin tools  :-)
