Two different companies. Smithfield's Chicken and BBQ, Inc, and
Smithfield's of Virgina (parent of Murphy-Brown Farms, Inc of NC).
You're referring to Smithfield's Foods.
Fun processing fact:
The largest pork processing facility in NC is in Turkey, NC, between
Warsaw, NC (exit 264 on 40 towards Wilmington), and Clinton, NC. Turkey
does NOT have any poultry production or processing facilities. Oh and
they are the home of Elizabeth's Pecan Products.
