32-bit versions of Vista and Linux can both see and use the same
amount of RAM.  Any single application will be constrained to
something around 2GB without tuning.  Your argument here might be that
with linux you can more easily tune memory allocation and therefore
get more out of your RAM, but even that is still pretty weak.  How
many apps are you going to run that need >2GB?
