[TriLUG] Gimmie desktop-app vs. pannel-applet

ubuntu 8.04. The desktop flavor did crash on me once, but I seem to
recall there being a big disclaimer about it being the least stable
variant.

Good golly. I'm not usually one for desktop bling, but those
screenshots make me reconsider:

Seems to be a few notes about integration between awn and gimmie...
looks like I've got my weekend's reasearch topic. I'm curious to know
how your awn+gimmie trial works out!
