[TriLUG] pbuilder problem on Ubuntu

Hi folks. I'm having a problem building a package with pbuilder.
pbuilder, for those who aren't familiar, is a debian system for
building packages in a chroot so that your system doesn't have
development libraries scattered all over the place. It helps guarantee
a clean, reliable build. It should anyway, but the dummy build
dependencies package that it creates on the fly for building mutt is
failing:

I'm trying to build the mutt from here:
http://packages.qa.debian.org/m/mutt.html

Which might be enough to explain my problem, because that source
package is from Debian while I'm running Ubuntu, but looking at
pbuilder's output in the pastebin link above, it seems like there
ought to be a way to get pbuilder to install the packages it needs
instead of barfing about those dependencies.

Suggestions?

Cheers,
