[TriLUG] Help me rebuild /var!

Yikes! the partition holding /var on my server got hosed, and my backup is 
fair but not great. Any thoughts on how best to rebuild it? I'm going 
piecemeal so far, and got cups, exim, and postgres back up and running 
(these are the most important) but am worried more is missing.
