I asked someone individually what they use, but wanted to throw this
out for more wide discussion.

So I know a few of you are self employed, run a small business, or at
least do consulting work on the side. What tools do you use? What do
you like about them/hate about them?

I was recommended http://getharvest.com for time/project
tracking/invoicing, and it seems simple enough to use, but it's not
OSS or Free if you have more than 2 projects. I also haven't tried
exporting into something else for bookkeeping.

I installed LedgerSMB (which is a fork of SQL-Ledger), but it's
cryptic and obtuse for one not familiar with accounting lingo. It
also doesn't seem to be very efficient at tracking non-cash, and
especially depreciable assets. I haven't really tried to get my
getharvest invoices into this system yet, so I don't know what
integration looks like.

What do you use for project tracking? Invoicing? Bookkeeping?
