I think the display resolution has to match the HDMI device's
resolution.  My laptop screen runs at 1680x1050.  I'm not sure what
mode the tv was running in but only the upper-left side of the screen
was showing.  Otherwise, it "just worked".  The last time I tried was
before FC12 came out.  It was more interesting to investigate before
the PS3 had Netflix support.
