[TriLUG] sharing out a filesystem to windows and linux

I have need to create a Fileserver that will share out a filesystem to a
linux based system as NFS and to a set of window xp workstations.

Currently, we use a commercial tool that lets us do both nfs and cifs;
however, we are decommissioning this.  We have only one filesystem that
needs to do this.

The linux based system is very old and really only talks nfs.  Any
suggestions on how I could do this.
