  Triangle Java Users Group presents:

     Agile Introduction

  Presented by:

     Jeffrey Barschaw

July 19, 2010
6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Red Hat/Raleigh
1801 Varsity Drive, Raleigh, NC
TriJUG meetings are hosted by JBoss

   Presentation summary:

This presentation is an introduction to Agile and its methodologies.
We'll focus on two in particular; Scrum and Kanban. They both help
manage the scope and flow of development work, but in slightly
different ways. Scrum has a little more rigor in its approach with
defined roles, time boxed iterations, and a more formal cadence to the
team meetings and activities. It still provides the flexibility so the
team can evaluate, adjust, and improve the process to deliver high
value and quality software. Kanban eases some of these restrictions
while still providing a nimble way to manage software development
activities in our ever changing world of customer expectations.
