Hammer? Bah, just take a spool of wire, hold it over the HD, and have
a buddy plug both ends of the wire into 110v. Be sure and let go /
unplug if the coil becomes warm. Heat means there is resistance, and
you do not want to be the least resistant path to ground (or get
burned for that matter).
Oh, and I am not liable for anything if you do this :-)
