Joel,

I did my Master's Paper on Sakai[0], which is what ITS Teaching and
Learning at UNC is moving UNC to--see the pilot site[1]. Larry Conrad
(Vice Chancellor and CIO) has voiced support of a move to Sakai, so if
you want to help, the best thing to do would be to help mobilize
organizational units, especially those not already on the action
group[2] to provide feedback that would help speed and improve the
Sakai deployment.

People you could talk to include Brian Moynihan at the School of
Medicine and Kim Eke in ITS Teaching and Learning, but I encourage you
to go directly to people like your IT resource person in your
department, your dean, or friendly faculty members. Make sure they
understand that if they don't come to the table, their voices won't be
heard as UNC moves to Sakai.
