[TriLUG] cheap linux-friendly hydras?

Care to recommend a hydra (aka all-in-one, i.e. printer/scanner/copier)
for personal/non-intensive use that is

* cheap: e.g., less than $250
* linux-friendly
* works without a wired ethernet connection (e.g. USB, wireless)

Why I ask:

A friend runs windows and has a printer. She likes and uses my hydra (a
2-year-old Epson Stylus NX515) enough to want to get one, and I'd like
to be able to use hers. The main difference between our usage is,

* she wants to print color more than I do (rather, the page cost of
  color on my hydra prevents me from printing color more than it does
  her)

* I have my hydra wired directly to my router. She has access to her
  building's router only via wireless.

Any recommendations for this usecase? Feel free to reply to me directly
or to the list.

TIA, Tom Roche <Tom_Roche at pobox.com>
