DHCP server uses Earthlink pooling IPs, that is the reason, when you
received IP/Hostname-> user-0c2h181.cable.mindspring.com
the rest is using RR/TWC backbone...

Earthlink or RR.. Uses TWC backbone :P. like it or not

I have been in RR and earthlink, (now in earthlink again, since TWC
jacked up the price, and Earthlink does not ( I believe, TWC leased
contract agreement that not renew. I think in the future, Earthlink
Cable monthly should be identical with RR).

I have been dealing with Earhtlink Cust Supp, were horrible. they seem
follows by the scripts, they look like from India Center, the accents
is very strong.
I do not blame on Indian calling center, but Earthlink try to be cheap
by contracting to the calling center , whom does not know on how to
help their/earthlink customer.
even the simple thing is not done correctly for more than a year, I
overpayed my monthly earthlink email service, when I canceled my
email premium service. I always receive email that say " credits
$XX.XX" . I think I called 5 times every months before fed-up, I never
get credited:P.
. everytime I called. cust suppot mostly say "I will get credit
back, in XX days" but never happens :P, they seems follow the script,
when I ask something different, they always repeat back the answer
(it seems for the script).
ok , just share my experience.

totaly correct, when I have issue with my internet, I never call
Earhtlink, (tried 2 times, were a waste time, at the end, earthlink
cust support will refer to TWC cust support).
I just having modem issue on last week friday, I just call TWC cust
Support. amd use whatever my billing information (from TWC), at the
end. I have to return the modem and get a modem replacement.
