[TriLUG] Thinkpad shutting off?

If you're running gnome, it's probably "gnome-power-manager" trying to
suspend (to RAM) or hibernate (to disk) after a certain period of
inactivity. The suspend/hibernate is not working.

For now, go to the power manager settings (on Ubuntu, it's "system /
preferences / power management") and tell it not to suspend or hibernate
after inactivity. Just tell it to blank the screen... or maybe not even
that... until you get a handle on what is failing.
