[TriLUG] OT: Wireless Hotspot weekly rental?

After rooting the droid, I installed the Open Garden WiFi Tether app. The results
were inconsistent. When I could connect from my laptop and tablet, both would
loose their connections within a few minutes. Sometimes they would not connect
at all.

So I installed CyangenMod 7, which was relatively painless, and tried again. The
results were much better - I read e-mail and surfed for about 15 minutes without
any issues. I have not done a longer-term test, but it will certainly get a workout
on vacation.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Chris
