[TriLUG] Computer stores]

Sheesh

I didn't realize there was such hatred/animosity towards that procedure.

Perhaps I'm just a bit too pragmatic, but I don't carry a bag in to the
store in the first place. *I* approach the receipt check person and
initiate the procedure, so I'm a bit more in control (or feel like it
anyway), and have never had a problem there.

"rude employees" - I've never had anyone there be outwardly *rude* - a lot
of 'meh' attitude sometimes, but show me too many stores that *don't* have
that.

I'd have thought it would be good to support some of the stores in the area
that actually carry stuff/parts. Frankly, the intrex website is offputting
and amateurish to me - Win7 shill at the bottom, no search box anywhere,
tiny fonts, etc - makes me not want to shop there in the first place.
(yeah, the TD one is a bit loud but I can click on the images on the front
page and get more info on the product I'm clicking on).

Separate rant: we're basically in a bad position for computer parts stores
in the region, from what I can tell, and I'll support the stores that carry
products I need. I've been searching in vain for a 256g SSD drive that I
could purchase from a local store. It's rather crazy, but I couldn't find
any store at all that even carries them. Had to resort to mail order, which
I hate. :/
