Tell him this is a really BAD idea.  Think of looking in the window of
a store only to have a salesperson rush out and give you a hard-sell.

The limit should be recording the information about the visit so a
better presentation can be made next time, but even that is pushing the
limit of what some people might consider abusive record keeping.
