I'm using OpenWrt which Bill Farrow introduced me to. I
haven't used Tomato, but I have used DD-WRT and I find
OpenWrt easier to work with (writing scripts etc).

I like having both a and g so I'm using both of these

Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H which has 32/128M flash/RAM

Netgear WNDR3800 with 16/128M

both are about $100.

For a regular g router

TP-Link TL-WR1043ND 8/32M is $50 at Intrex and can't be
beat.
