When I'm in a position like this, I go out and spend $150 at Costco for
a 17 sheet at a time shredder. You can probably shred a half a box at a
time, maybe 15 minutes work, before it overheats and you need to wait
another hour for it to cool down.

This may or may not take more time than putting it all in a car,
driving it to a shredding facility, and giving it to them, but you KNOW
your stuff got shredded. My experience is that, over its lifetime, a
heavy duty shredder like the one I describe can do a couple hundred
boxes of paper. I'm still using one I bought in 2007.
