Under normal circumstances, you'd be right.  In fact, we currently
use walkie talkies, but they're not really a satisfactory solution.
Nothing wrong with the WTs themselves, they function properly, but,
well, let's just say there are a number of human factors that make
WTs not work as well as you'd think they should.
