[TriLUG] ZFS and hardware raid question

Planning to play with FreeNAS and ZFS later this week and have a 
question for some of you experts.

My test box is a Dell 2950 w/ 6 drives, dual quad core and 16GB ram.  My 
question is about hardware raid.  From what I've read I shouldn't use 
the hardware raid at all, right?  Just use the disks as separate devices 
(i.e. let ZFS see 6 disks) then setup Raid-z2 and ZFS handles 
everything.  Is that correct?
