You can run XBMC on the MacMini and use it instead of Apples' FrontRow
theater application.

I have tried a JetWay mini PC, but it had numerous problems: loud fan,
overheating GPU, etc

Right now I am considering a $100 fanless intel ATOM board with built
in HDMI. The BeagleBone Black is also interesting, but we need to
wait and see what the graphics support is like.

My current system is an old intel desktop running MythTV and XBMC with
a single remote control for everything (a Microsoft MCE USB remote
with IR Blasters).

Do we need a Linux Media Services demo and hack day/weekend to pool
our knowledge ?
