Indeed.

Having thought this matter through, I am going to put my support behind 
both the amendment and Cristóbal.  Overall, I think the benefits 
outweigh any concerns and those concerns have both been discussed and 
addressed.  It is readily apparent Cristóbal has put a tremendous amount 
of thought and effort into this process and he is certainly to be 
commended for it.  I can also say that in all of the conversations we've 
had, on list, off list, and in person, that he has earned my respect.  
Therefore, both his nomination to the SC and the proposed amendment will 
get my vote.
