[TriLUG] The biggest deterrent for women in tech

Which jibes with my hypothesis that most men and women are culturally
brainwashed into thinking that women are supposed to be "nice."

 
This issue is part of our patriarchal[1] society, which means women face punitive actions for not being "nice." E.g. women do it because they know that they will be punished if they don't.

[1] also kyriarchal, but this issue falls very much along gender lines.
