than /boot/grub/menu.lst . See:

/etc/lilo.conf
/etc/grub/conf
/etc/resolv.conf
/etc/ntp.conf
/etc/xinetd.conf

/etc/*.conf ..... I see a pattern here, for better usability.

I see this change as an improvement. Maybe it's just me.

And, hey! there's still a link named /boot/grub/menu.lst that points to 
/etc/grub.conf . Ain't that great?
