[TriLUG] Ham Operators

I am a general class operator. HF radio has so much more to offer. I know
plenty of people who took the tech test and the general test on the same day
and passed. Doing that cuts out a lot of time and a second trip. I enjoy
packet radio as well. Winlink is fun too!! It gives me the capability to
send email out if we have another hurricane here. I am trying to cover most
of the emcomm bases. We have a repeater linking system here too.

I have both long term and short term radio covered.

William,

I had thought about that, but as a Senior Citizen ( retiree ), Don't know
if I could sit for all that :-)

Thanks for the advice. Will keep it in mind.

One of the areas of interest for me is in packet radio. Is there much
activity in that area around the Raleigh area?
