TriLUG,

As promised, here is the official reminder for Cloud Camp 2013 this Thursday.
While those of us from Inmar will speak quite a bit on running Open Source stacks in the Amazon Cloud environment, we will also hear perspectives on Azure and Private Cloud solutions.
We would love for you to join us and contribute your perspectives on cloud infrastructure/automation by participating in our breakout sessions and unpanel discussion. Look forward to seeing you there!

Inmar is hosting its third annual CloudCamp for 2013 on Thursday, December 5. The event will take place at Inmar's headquarters in Winston-Salem, NC from 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will be packed with presentations, “lightning talks” and focused breakout sessions.

There will be a number of speakers presenting material on a wide variety of Cloud Computing topics:

Our Keynote speaker will be Michael Sylvia, Director, Advanced Technologies, Office of the CIO, IBM. Sylvia, who is responsible for IBM’s internal technical cloud strategy and the application of cloud computing, will present "Cloud Computing: Enabling Transformation @ IBM." In this talk, Sylvia will describe the IBM CIO experience with cloud computing, present lessons learned (including the importance of choosing the right workloads for cloud), and speak to what the future holds – not only for IBM’s use of cloud computing but also for the cloud in general.

Haven't heard of CloudCamp? These programs bring together early adopters and current users of cloud technology to share ideas, discuss challenges and explore solutions. CloudCamp events are held every year at locations around the world. This year’s CloudCamp at Inmar is particularly focused on practical implementation strategies for cloud technology that will be valuable to practitioners with responsibilities to “make Cloud work” for their companies.

Inmar’s CloudCamp is an outstanding opportunity to join with experts from Inmar and other area technology companies and expand your knowledge of cloud computing. Registration is required but there is no fee to attend the conference. Space is filling up fast, so reserve your spot now!
